statistics There are two types:

• discrete random variables :: You can count the results like number of cars people have.
• continuous random variables :: these are more of an interval, like the number of ml of poison in a liter of water.

Probability distribution for discrete random variables:

1. $p(x)\ge 0$ for all values of x.
2. $\Sigma p(x)=1$
