The sherlock group is hoping to move to Open Telemetry. The framework team had already instrumented raptor.io with Open Tracing. The major question was how to associate them.
There were several meetings which were intractable. Thankfully, RK served as a particularly helpful voice in there. I met with each of the groups individually and better understood their needs. Eventually, I proposed the solution/compromise that we went with. It wasn’t a slam dunk, but it was progess.
